endowment - the gift that never stops giving

each spring, concord trinity offers a scholarship to a graduating high school senior. From present to 2012, the $1000 scholarship is funded by an anonymous donation. however, the congregation adopted a youth endowment fund in 2008 to provide scholarship opportunities in perpetuity (2012 and beyond) to a graduating high school senior active in the youth program pursuing higher education. the strength of a donation to the youth endowment is that no principle will ever be spent, only the yearly interest gained from the principle. so a gift given to the youth endowment will remain as long as the doors are open! to donate to the ctumc youth endowment fund, just write a check to the church with "youth endowment" in the memo line.
